Changing the OPTS Log Debug Level

Use this procedure when you need to change the OPTS Debug level for more detailed information.

Step-by-step guide

Follow these steps:

1. Transition the Blue/Send side to Maintenance Mode:
   

   1. Login as an IAO account.

   2. Select Mode Changes.

   3. Select Enter Maintenance Mode.

2. Transition the Red/Receive side to Maintenance Mode:
   

   1. Login as an IAO account.

   2. Select Mode Changes.

   3. Select Enter Maintenance Mode.
3. Configure the Red/ Receive side:

   1. Login as oseladm.

   2. Open the PI configuration file

      1. cd /Owl/owlPI/listen-red/

      2. Open piConfigLISTEN.txt with a text editor (vi or nano).

   3. Change OPT_DEBUGLEVEL to 2.

   4. Save and Exit the file.

   5. Log off the oseladm user.

4.  Configure the Blue/Send side:

   1. Login as oseladm.

   2. Open the PI configuration file

      1. cd /Owl/owlPI/talk-blue/

      2. Open piConfigTALK.txt with a text editor (vi or nano).

   3. Change OPT_DEBUGLEVEL to 2.

   4. Save and Exit the file.

   5. Log off the oseladm user.

5. Transition the Blue/Send side to Operational Mode:
   

   1. Login as an IAO account.

   2. Select Mode Changes.

   3. Select Enter Operational Mode.

6. Transition the Red/Receive side to Operational Mode:
   

   1. Login as an IAO account.

   2. Select Mode Changes.

   3. Select Enter Operational Mode
